At Cornflower Cottage we endeavor to do everything we can to make your holiday truly memorable. The property is prepared to your individual requirements, always including a fabulous hamper of local seasonal produce, fresh flowers, fluffy towels, cosy bathrobes and toiletries.
If you wish to arrange delivery of your holiday groceries prior to arrival we are happy to take delivery and unpack your shopping.
In the colder months the wood burning stove is already laid.
We work closely with an experienced caterer who can provide a fantastic home cooked ready to eat/heat food for the barn, please see the menu on our catering page.
We are happy either to arrange or to put you in contact with all manner of sporting and country pursuits.
As a mum of four small children, I realise that a self catering holiday can sometimes be a busy time in the kitchen for the cooks in the family! Here at Cornflower Cottage, we have linked up with several lovely ladies to give plenty of options to make life a bit easier in the kitchen! After all, a holiday has to be a holiday for everyone!
Select Catering
We have teamed up with Gayla at Select Catering and are pleased to be able to offer a fabulous menu of both ready to eat and ready to cook delicious meals. Gayla is an experienced caterer and uses local, seasonal produce in her meals, wherever possible.
On receipt of the balance for your holiday, we send a copy of the Select Catering Menu, for you to be able to browse. If you require anything from the menu, simply pop a cheque in the post and the meals will be in the fridge on your arrival at the barn. A sample of the menu... click here
A trip to the barn can be a special event in all manner of ways! Perhaps you are planning a birthday trip with some girl friends, a cosy, special hen weekend to remember. Or maybe, while the chaps go off to have a round of golf, the girls may wish to enjoy some me time!
There is often very little time to relax and indulge oneself with some serious pampering! Here at Cornflower Cottage we are able to arrange many ways for you to be able to enjoy some memorable pampering.
Pampering Days In!
We can arrange for some great therapists to come to the barn and do any number of treatments, massages, beauty treatments or hair styling! These ladies are also often able to provide taster sessions, so everyone can try different therapies and enjoy the party!! These taster pampering days/eves topped off with a special catered meal, either from our pre delivered menus or a catered supper make a wonderful day! A perfect girly day to remember!!

Somerset is lucky enough to have some great health spas. Cornflower Cottage is within easy reach of quite a few. It is probably easier to contact these directly to discuss your party’s individual requirements. They all offer some fabulous therapies, a lot offer great full or half day offers, enabling you to try a number of treatments and enjoy a lovely lunch as well!
